EWSEWS-WWF MARINE TURTLE CONSERVATION PROJECT

The Great Gulf Turtle Race 2012 has been a fantastic event and we are pleased to be able to now announce the winners!

In the distance race, Murjana took first place with a total of 1343km since the start of the race. She was closely followed by Al Fareeda with 1264km in second place and Shelby with 1212kms securing third place.

In the popularity contest, the title of most popular turtle was awarded to Laura Bora after dominating in the voting stakes with a staggering 61,187 cheers! Rimani took second place with 34,169 votes while Hooter clinched third with 22,094 votes.
